Hoe censuur ter sprake komt in een schaakanalyse

Bij schaakanalyses is elke suggestie toegelaten, en op voorwaarde dat je iets interessants te vertellen hebt mag je zelfs een ander onderwerp te berde brengen. Dat deed grootmeester Alexandr Grisjtsjoek ook, bij de analyse van de achtste partij tussen Carlsen en Caruana.
Hij vond dat in een bepaalde variant Wit een goede zet van Zwart bijna afdwong, en dát deed hem weer denken aan een verhaaltje dat hij gelezen had, over een konijn dat een vos smeekte hem alsjeblief niet in een braambos te gooien, terwijl het sluwe konijn wist dat het daaruit makkelijk kon ontsnappen.
En dit bracht weer grootmeester Pjotr Svidler tot de bedenking dat het misschien beter was het onderwerp te laten rusten, want in datzelfde verhaal komt ook een pop voor, gemaakt van teer en dus pikzwart, Tar Baby. En het doortrapte konijn mishandelt die pop. Een Amerikaanse fabel uit Tales from the South. 
Svidler vermoedt dat het niet langer politiek correct is om over zo’n verhaal te beginnen, want je hebt geen idee welke boeken er tegenwoordig allemaal verboden lectuur kunnen zijn.

Grisjtsjoek: This instalment of the Rook on, to é6 was just… it is very nice.

Grisjtsjoek: Basically my point was that, eh, I mean black just wants to be able to play Bishop d6, so forcing him to do so is a little bit weird.
